Information you give us

This site has two forms, and both are optional — you can read every page without submitting anything.

Contact / inquiry form. Name, email address, phone number, whether you are buying or selling, the areas or price range you are interested in, and any message you write.
Home valuation request. Property address and details about the home, plus the contact information above, so a broker can prepare an estimate.

We ask only for what a licensed broker needs in order to respond. We do not ask for, and you should not send us, Social Security numbers, government ID numbers, financial account numbers, or medical information through this website. Mortgage pre-approval and closing documents are handled outside this site through secure channels.

Information collected automatically

This site uses Google Analytics to understand which pages and neighborhoods visitors find useful. Google Analytics sets cookies and receives your IP address, approximate location, device and browser type, referring URL, and the pages you view. We use it in aggregate; we do not use it to identify individual visitors.

Some pages embed content served by third parties — Google Maps for the neighborhood map, YouTube for video, Google Fonts for typography, and our brokerage’s IDX listing search. When that content loads, those providers may set their own cookies and receive your IP address under their own privacy policies. Our web host, Netlify, keeps standard server request logs.

How we use your information

To respond to your inquiry and provide the real estate brokerage services you asked about.
To send listings, market updates, or valuation information you requested.
To meet our obligations as an Illinois-licensed brokerage, including transaction and agency record-keeping.
To maintain, secure, and improve this website.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with unaffiliated third parties for their own marketing.

Calls, texts, and email

By submitting a form with your phone number you agree that a licensed broker of Blue Fence Real Estate may contact you at that number by call or text about your inquiry, including by automated means where applicable. Consent to marketing contact is not a condition of any purchase or of receiving brokerage services. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out of texts, or use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. We will still answer a transaction-related message you send us.

Who we share information with

Blue Fence Real Estate — the sponsoring brokerage, and the licensed brokers working your inquiry.
Service providers — website hosting and form delivery (Netlify), analytics (Google), email, and customer relationship tooling, each acting on our instructions.
Transaction participants — when you move forward with a purchase or sale, parties such as the cooperating brokerage, title company, lender, attorney, or inspector you choose or that the transaction requires.
Legal and regulatory — where required by law, subpoena, or the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, or to protect our rights and the safety of others.

Listing content displayed on or linked from this site is provided courtesy of Midwest Real Estate Data LLC (MRED) and is governed by MLS rules in addition to this policy.

Retention and security

We keep inquiry records for as long as needed to serve you and to satisfy Illinois brokerage record-retention requirements, then delete or de-identify them. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including encryption in transit, but no website can promise absolute security. If a breach of unencrypted personal information occurs, we will notify affected Illinois residents as required by the Illinois Personal Information Protection Act.

Your choices

Ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask for a copy.
Ask us to correct information that is wrong or out of date.
Ask us to delete your information, except where we must keep it for legal or transaction-record reasons.
Opt out of marketing calls, texts, and email at any time.
Opt out of Google Analytics using Google’s browser add-on, or block cookies in your browser settings.

Children

This site is intended for adults shopping for real estate. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
